Pampam Falls: Chasing Waterfalls In Iligan City
If you are looking for a budget-friendly place to go and explore in Iligan City, then Pampam Falls should surely be on your list!
As a city of majestic waterfalls, Iligan City is blessed to have an over 20 numbers of waterfalls. One of which is the Pampam Falls which is located in Brgy. Dalipuga, Iligan City. It is about 13 kilometers away from the city proper and also one of the most accessible waterfalls in the city.
HOW TO GET THERE?
Take a Dalipuga-line jeepney and ask the driver to drop you off at the Kalubihon intersection in Brgy. Dalipuga. Fare is only PHP 14 only from the city proper.
From the crossing, you can then ride a local motorcycle or ‘habal-habal’ going to Kalubihon Elementary School. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes travel time and the fare ranges from PHP 15 to 20 depending on your negotiation skills.
Upon arriving at the Kalubihon Elementary School, you can then ask the locals for some directions. You may also ask for assistance and hire a local tour guide if you’re not confident. Most commonly young kids offer their service to random tourist visitors. They do not set any price in exchange for their service, however, on our case, we paid PHP 200 for their favor.
NO ENTRANCE FEE is required. You can enjoy such wonder and beauty for FREE!
There are two more unnamed waterfalls in the area near the Pampam Falls and a ‘langob’ or cave which you can come and explore as well.
